Actually, you should never use Word to save directly to any type of
removable media, as it is likely to cause corruption. Instead, always save
to hard drive, and then COPY the file to the disk/cd/etc.
Also, CDs are NOT like floppy disks, and the programs that are out there to
make them behave like floppy disks can also make them unreliable.
When you copy to the CD, depending on your computer, you might have to use
different software to burn the file to the CD rather than doing it directly
from Windows. Windows help should tell you how to copy to Cd or burn a CD
or something like, assuming your laptop has a CD-R drive. Look there. If
you can't find it, look for a newsgroup dealing with Windows and ask there,
being sure to mention OS version.
