Word files "not available."
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

When I try to open a file in Word 2003, I get the
following error message: "The file xxxxxx is not
available." The files are not corrupt - they open fine
in WordPad and WordPerfect, and are readily visible
through Windows Explorer. They just won't open. What is
causing this and how can I fix it? I have already run
Detect and Repair.
