The easiest way is to create your Watermark and then create an
AutoText entry for it. That's how we used to accomplish this task
before Watermarks were added to the UI. ;-)

- Create a new document
- Create your watermark
- Go to View/Header and Footer
- Select the watermark
- Press Alt + F3 to display the Create AutoText dialog box
- Provide a name and click OK

The AutoText entry should now appear in the Insert AutoText list on
the Header and Footer toolbar. Note if you wish to type the AutoText
entry you need to type the full name and press F3 to insert it.

You can also create a macro to automate this task once the AutoText
entry has been created.

You could record a macro as you create the watermark as well but
should you need to modify the watermark all you would need to do is
redefine the AutoText entry rather than creating the macro again.

watermarks? Font, font size, degree of shading, and unchecking the
semi-transparent box are steps I currently have to do with every
watermark. I'd like to be able to set them as I always want them to
appear.
