Graham,
I am ready to do the following steps you suggested below.
Uninstall Office 2007
Re-install Office 2003
Add Office 2007 (but NOT "as an upgrade").
In order to add back in the customizations I had made to Office 2003, where
can I find those?
The particular customizations to Office 2003 were:
I have several Word macros, some of which have been added to a toolbar (via
icons placed there)
I also have created some custom OL forms,
I created a special global template. Would they all be in there? If not,
where else should I look?
Thank you for your help.

The learning curve for Word 2007 is steep, but those who climb it suggest
it is worth the effort. I am not convinced. I tend to use it to write
letters and other everyday stuff, but if I need to do anything
complicated, I find it easier to use 2003, so I have both on my PC. You
can bend 2007 to your will bit it takes a bit more effort - see
http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Customize_Word2007_SC_Menu_Programatically.htm
and the other page on that web site referred to there.
I am not sure if you can simply install Word 2003 in another folder once
2007 is present, however you could uninstall Office 2007, re-install the
parts of Office 2003 that you require, then add Office 2007 but not as an
upgrade. However you will need the customisations that you originally made
to Office 2003 to get back where you were before so let's hope that the
upgrade installation didn't remove them, or you have backups.

Graham, thanks for your reply. It raises in my mind some new options
that I would like to ask you about. After having tried Office 2007,
I really prefer Office 2003 over Office 2007. Office 2003 is even
more attractive because through your help and that of others on this
and other groups, I have set up some custom menus, OL forms, Word
macros and toolbars etc for Office 2003. I have OL and Word working
together on some of these procedures as well. The only real reason I
upgraded to 2007 was to get the use of Access and the only version of
Access I could get hold of easily was 2007. Therefore, my ideal
situation would be to go back to 2003 and install only Access from
Office 2007. Thus, my question is:
If I did an upgrade install of 2007 over 2003, can I uninstall Office
2007, reinstall Office 2003 and then install from the Office 2007
only the Access program? Or is there an even easier way to go about
it? (Of course I do want to get back my custom menus, OL forms, Word
macros and toolbars etc for Office 2003.)
Thanks in advance for your help,
Bob

http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm explains how to add
macros to the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) - near the bottom of the
page. If you still have access to 2003 - see also

I just "upgraded" from Office 2003 to Office 2007. I had a couple
of macros added to the toolbars of Word 2003 which I need often and
need to make easily accessible within Word 2007, preferably on a
toolbar. Can someone help me do this?
Thank you in advance.
