copying pictures



I am trying to copy pictures and paste them into a word document but all
that comes up is a blank space. If I click on it it outlines the size of the
picture. But doesn't show the picture itself. The picture does not have the
option of putting it into My Pictures either.. I have Office 2003 XP.
