Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to me...
The basic problem stems from the fact that our marketing
department like Powerpoint and they are trying to use it
as a package to create documents. To some extent I can
understand why - some of the slides have fairy complex
graphics, and it is a pain in the bahooky to add in new
pages and recreate the same graphics were it done in word.
So I have a 30 or so slide presentation - some pages have
a lot of text on them (e.g. a covering letter created to
look like a Word page with two columns...created with two
(unlinked) text boxes...so that when you add text to the
first text box of the letter you have to cut text out of
the bottom of that text box, and paste it to the top of
the next text box.) Other slides have tables, others with
a heavy graphic background with text placed on top of the
graphics...and what I really want is an editable copy of
the slides page for page in Word...keeping the same
graphics and layout. I know .. I don't want much!!
Personally I feel that Powerpoint should be used for
presentations...short snappy text outlining points...and
not for full blown document production...
