I think what we are doing is saving to one computer,
copying the files to a CD or USB thumb drive, then
copying them to the new computer. The weird thing is, it
looks like the files got more corrupted on the new
computer as time goes on.

I recently upgraded this computer from 2000 to XP and
uninstalled and reinstalled office xp. What else can i
try? I open the file and it says i need a converter but
everything i try only shows boxes. I guess that file is
toast, but what can i do for future files?

BTW, the computer is virus free...
