Re: Word 2000 not responding in Vista Home Premium environment

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I'm able to start Word fine using the winword.exe /a command but haven't
found any of the suggestions outlined in the link below helpful, i.e. I
renamed the "normal" files, deleted the data key - to no avail.

What do you mean by installing a printer driver?
I loaded the HP Laserjet IIP driver for my NEC Superscript 870 which is
recommended for this unsupported printer.

Any other helpful ideas?

After installing Office 2000 on my new Vista Home Premium HP G70, the WORD
application opens, but after a couple of seconds replies "Not responding"
and
stays that way. All other applications in the package, Excel, Powerpoint,
etc. work just fine
