This is an old post: please explain your problem. Are you able to edit a document using the keyboard and have only lost use of the mouse?

Hey Terry,

I am having the exact same problem with MS Word 2003. I went the registry,
deleted the folder path you suggested. In my case it was 11.0. When I
restarted MS Word no luck. The registry returned as you said but it didn't
fix the cursor problem. If you have any other possibilities to what the
problem may be, I am welcome to any answers

Run Regedit and then navigate your way to the key by double-clicking to
expand the trees until you get to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data. Word MUST have
created the key.
