The data key instructions were too difficult to follow and the second
suggestion did not produce anything relevant that I could identify.

I am using Office Professional Edition 2003 version 11.0.8173.0
As soon as I try to use Word I get " Word has detected a problem with

current preferences - restore to default values?" I then say yes and I
get
"Microsoft Office Word has encountered an problem and needs to
close. ---"
It just goes round and round these 2 statements. I have uninstalled
the
whole thing and reloaded it to no effect.-
Does anyone know what it's all about?
