Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST INSTALL A LOCAL PRINTER DRIVER and set it as the Windows Default printer. Word will not work without a local printer driver.

I forgot to say that I haven't got printer availavable and no addins o
complements installed, so my hutch is that the problem is that this word 2007
causes conflict with the registry keys and files remaining of OLD VERSIONS OF
WORD, cause Ive had installed office 2002 and office 2003 in the past, and
then at the moment to upgrade to office 2007 I let the program to do this
un-installation by itself.

isn't a Word problem as such but something messing with Vista.
