Re: Cannot display requested font, insufficient memory

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

FYI... opening a document now after i returned from safe mode has not spat
the error message up... but i have had it also crop up after a while of
having documents open before... and then it leads to always doing it when i
open a document. i am presuming that is what this is.

it happens as soon as i open a blank document or any other document, which
includes a range of fonts.

office diagnostics found nothing wrong.

appears to work in safe mode.ie, doesnt spit up the error as soon as the
file opens. although that's not really a solution...

Well that may indicate a corrupt font. Is it always the same font that you
are trying to switch to or is that with ALL fonts? Is it ALL documents or
just one document? Does it happen in Safe Mode?

as i said, i reunstalled the printer, got the latest drivers (released a
month ago)

i have also tried renaming the normal.dot file to force a new one to be
made.. that did not work either.

latter
is highly likely.

Check that you have the latest printer driver and then delete and
reinstall
the printer.

If it is still the same, rename normal.dot as normal.bad.

about 3 weeks ago, Word (home and student 2007) began to spit up the
error

"There is insufficient Memory of disk space. Word cannot display the
requested font" and removes all fonts except calibri, and screws up the
file
somewhat.

1G memory free when using word, 30+G Hdd space free.

it has gotten to the point where it is almost impossible to get any
work
done. it is now doing it every time i open word.

I have tried reinstalling, twice. no effect. i have tried removing the
pdf
creator. no effect. uninstalling adobe reader had no effect. installing
the
latest adobe has not helped.

updating printer drivers didnt fix the problem either. im completely at
a
loss, and the microsoft support system is refusing to work atm.
