If you are using the web interface, I don't know how you change the display name to an alias: it certainly isn't wise to post your email address in the open unless it is a 'disposable' address. I use Windows Mail (the Vista upgrade to OE) and it is clearly set the name and email address to whatever you like.

If you would like to use OE or Mail, then the server is msnews.microsoft.com.

Document Image Writer is part of the Office suite, but if it isn't listed under Printers, then it probably was excluded as part of the install.

What you can do is to install one of the bog standard printer drivers from the Windows installation: it doesn't matter if you don't actually have the printer. Try the HP LaserJet 4 driver set as the Windows default. Then run Word and test it for a while to see if that eliminates the problem.

Thanks for the speedy reply, but what's the XPS Document Writer? My
Office 2007 was purchased online through university. Also, the error
only happens about once every 5 times I use word, so I'm not really
sure how to actually test whether it stops or not. Also, one more
thing, how do I change it so that my email isn't displayed (but a
nickname is) when I post this message? Thanks.
