Re: Landscape pages are not faxed from Word 2007

Hello Bob,

I had at least one other problem with regard to equations, which I will post
later today.

The 400 page doc I have is at home.

This is my process for handling my printing solutions:
1. I now have two versions of this doc, a 2007 version and a 2003 version.
2. The 2003 version prints all orientations and page sizes correctly, but
the equations are choped off, and are very grainly, and black fonts appear
bluish.
3. The 2007 version prints the equations correctly, but won't handle
landscape at all.
4. I print both files to the Adobe PDF "printer".
5. I then create a third pdf file that is a combination of both by selecting
the good 2007 pages and the good 2003 pages.

I'm using the Adobe solutions from CS2. This gives me the the ability to mix
and match pdf files.

I tried the MS 'save as pdf', if I recall correctly, I get the same
problems. Not sure about the drivers, but did install the huge Office 2007
patch a few weeks ago, but the printing problems persists. Will test this
again tonight to detail what happens, and let you know tomorrow or the day
after.

Will post the equation problems in a separate post today.

Hi Ben,

Are you saying you're having an issue with faxing from Word 2007 SP1 and one with creating PDF files as well?

What PDF printer product and version are you using? Do you get the same result saving to the MS 'Save as PDF' add-in for Office
2007?

What result do you get printing to the .MDI file format choice using the MS Office 2007 optional install Office Document Imaging &
Imaging Writer virtual printer driver?

I had a similar problem with printing to Adobe Pdf printer.

Problem:
I had a Word 2007 document of about 400 pages. The portrait and landscape
orientations are mixed within this document. Page size if 'Half Letter' a new
format I had set up which is 1/2 a Letter page size.

The landscape pages will not print in landscape format. The pages size
reverts to some form of Letter size and orientation reverts to portrait.

I had a friend use Word 2003 to print the document, after fixing the
orientation to landscape.

Inference:
Word 2007 has a problem with Landscape orientation, that Word 2003 can
handle, when printing to a virtual printer or printer emulation.

Hope someone can fix this.
