This feature can cause a person to lose work in Word 2003. A fix
needs to be implemented so that pasting from IE7 does not cause Word
to crash.

So i've tried this on two different (One of which is almost brand
new!!!) Windows XP machines running internet explorer 7 with the same
result -
When trying to copy text from IE7, and pasting to word 2003 -
inevitably the system freezes - word shuts down due to an error and it
cannot complete the task.
