Re: Word 2003: That Nasty "Diks Full" bug

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

When you say "I've read all the KB articles" it would be helpful if you
listed those you had read. People here may be aware of ones that could help
you which you haven't found.

Am I correct in assuming that none of the writing is being done to a
removable media drive?

Hi there,

We have this nasty Word 2003 error that's been bugging us for months now.
We
can't seem to find a solution, so this is why I turn to you.

We have a template stored somewhere on our network. All our writers use
this
template to create new documents. The template has a connection with a
database to get a document number. So far so good.
But at some point during the process of writing, we get a "Disk
full"-error
when trying to save. There is still plenty of space, both on the local and
network drive. Deleting temporary files doesn't fix the problem. So far,
we've used a workaround: saving the document in RTF, then opening it and
saving it back to DOC seems to help in most cases. But some time later,
the
problem is back.
We are really eager to finding a solution, because our writers are getting
really frustrated. I've read all KB articles related to this problem, but
I
still can't find the solution. I hope someone can help us.
Thanks in advance.
