Copy Paste Error--Another one

A few days ago, I also started getting a copy-paste error in Microsoft Word
(similar to CosmicGrin a few posts before mine). It no longer works. I
don't even get the "a" that she gets when trying to paste; I get a blank
character. The clipboard gets stuck in a continuous loop on "preview not
available". Clearing the clipboard and rebooting doesn't help.

I think it's a larger problem than with just Word--I haven't been able to
copy-paste in ANY of my applications for the last several days.

Can anyone help/know what's going on?
