Re: equal sign substituted for apostrophe

The usual reason is that the file was converted from WordPerfect and the
apostrophe, instead of being the character from the default paragraph font,
is a WP Typographic Symbols character. The only solution is to Find and
Replace, which is easier to do on a system where the problem is evident
(where you don't see it is on systems that have this font installed).
