Word crashes while saving document

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi,

My office XP installation has developed a recent problem. Word crashes while saving any document as a *.doc file. It will save them as rtf or txt without any problems. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help. I am running Office XP pro on Windows XP for tablet PC. It had been working fine for over a year before developing this problem. Any ideas on how to go about solving it.

Thanks,
