Thanks to you both! I was steered to this site by
by word help
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm
it said to rename .dot to .old and see which file stopped
the problem, none of them did.
Anywho, I remembered accidently unistalling Acrobat 5.05
and guessed that might have been the problem so I
reinstalled and it stopped the error.
