How can I get Word to stop waiting for the printer all the time?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

In the last few months, every time that I open or close Word, it waits for a
while and then a box comes up and asks if I want to keep waiting for the
printer. As soon as I click no, everything is okay. I even went as far as
uninstalling my printer, but the problem has not changed. Does anyone know
what I can do? I have Norton Antivirus, Ad-aware, spybot, and Microsoft's
spyware program. They all show that I'm clean. Please help.
