Possibly a corrupt printer driver. Try deleting the printer and reinstalling
it.

: Hi.
: Everytime I press the return key when typing in a word document (old or
new)
: MS unexpectedly closes with no error message. In the case of an existing
: document a new document with the same name (except the first two letters
: which are changed to ~$) is created in the same folder. I am running
Windows
: X and Office 2000 with all the updates. Also Norton Systemworks Premier
but
: this one does not seem to be the problem because I deactivated it and the
: problem continues. Thanks

.
