I did get as far as that page in my attempt to follow your advice but
(wrongly) assumed that "82810" did not include "810". It's not exactly
obvious, is it? I also was misled by a statement elsewhere on Intel's
website saying that they would no longer provide any future software updates
for 810.
Anyway, this time I clicked on the tiny words "additional downloads" and
found that the next screen shows a driver for the 810 chipset. I shall try
downloading it to see if my problem disappears. So thanks for the friendly
advice.
