At work NT4.0 & six year old Word but same problem
appears at home with XP Pro & Word 2000. I'm trying to
use the compare document feature for a Standards
documents and suggested revisions inserted therein. I've
experienced two problems. 1. I get an error message
saying that it encountered a cell over 750 characters or
so. I overcame that problem when I deleted the first
several pages but don't know what was causing it. It
might have been a graphic of the company logo, graphic of
boss' signature, simple table with document changes
noted, or the table of contents (self generated) 2. the
second problem is when I attempt to bring up the second
document, sometimes I get another message saying that
there's already some changes. (Sometimes I don't get
this message.) In any case I answer Yes and continue but
then nothing happens. I've reduced the document down to
just a few paragraphs but still get nothing. I've tried
to "Accept All" changes but that didn't change anything.
Thanks Rich
