Having similar problem. Problem appeared last Thursday 2-15-05 after ms
security updates applied the night before. No problem on machines on network
using win98 os, only those with word 2002 installed on xp pro os boxes. i
have attempted to disable all security permission dealing with network on xp
pro os, without success. turned of norton 2003 antiviruse word plugin
without success. noticed that can save as to local hard drive, and then cut
and paste to desired mapped network drive. is your server on peer to peer
network? is your server running win98 or win98se?
