<grrrrrr>

Okay, this is a similar, somewhat generic message. However, at least
this one narrows down the cause to the main 97 DLL (dynamic linked
library) file (the main code file).

Although reinstalling rarely fixes problems, this is one where it
might. If you had a newer version of Office, you could use the Detect
and Repair to try to fix this. Since you're using the older 97, you
don't have that feature.

So what you can try is to rename that file to MSO97.OLD and run a
reinstall. By renaming, the file will not be recognized so you'll get
a fresh copy. DON'T DELETE IT incase this doesn't help. If it doesn't,
you can always return the file to it's original state by renaming it
back. But by renaming it, the install will assume it doesn't exist and
install a fresh version...which MAY solve this problem. This DLL may
be corrupt?

Give it a shot and good luck!
