Some users are getting an error message when opening 2 documents based
on a particular template.

"Unknown programming error. Error=[0x80070057]"

This message comes up again when switching between word and other
programs.

We're using Word 2002, Windows XP Pro.

The problem seems to be machine specific and it works fine on the
majority of computers here. The template doesn't have any VBA that
would initialise when switching windows.
