Hi, profbob. Does the problem go away if you select a different default
printer in Start | Control Panel | Printers? If so, delete and reinstall the
printer driver for your normal printer (you might check the printer
manufacturer's website for an updated driver while you're at it), and install
the printer driver locally instead of on a network share. If that doesn't
fix the problem, then try renaming your Normal.dot template as described in
section 2 of http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm .
