I have come across a problem with Service Pack 2 for XP Pro and Office XP.
On a workstation if you try to load up say 19 documents all at once. it will
open fine. Do this over a shared network drive on a server running Server
2003. It hangs. and after say about 5 minutes or more it may resolve it
self. The strange thing is that it seems to affect everybody on the network.
Now I've checked patches, network, switches, cabling.... Nothing else is
causing it. But when I remove SP2.. hey presto it works like a dream. I did
some testing to see if I could resolve this with disabling firewall,
installing SP3 for Office XP.. Still unable to get it to work with XP Pro
SP2. So I now have removed SP2 from all workstations and I'm yet to receive
any reports of it locking up. If there is a hotfix could you let me know.

Thanks in advance,
