This problem happens with Windows XP SP1, Outlook and Word 2000 SP1.
BTW, I finally got the document rewritten and the installation sent out at
around 4:16 PM EST.
I also noticed that if you have an open email with the document attached,
and you do make changes to the actual original document, Word still doesn't
update both. At least the problem is consistant. I'd think it would do it
both ways, since the email attachment should represent the current state of
the actual document up to the point that the attachment is emailed.
Oh well, I've learned my lesson: NEVER edit email attachments.
