Hi Andy,
Believe it or not, it's possible you have encountered a bug/corruption
in the Handwriting Recognition services. Try the following:
- Open your Control Panel
- Open Regional and Language Settings
- Select the Language tab
- Click Details
- Remove Handwriting Recognition
If you are using the Handwriting Recognition service then you can add
it back again and it should no longer cause this issue.
If you find this was indeed the cause could you provide some
additional details for me? We've found the solution but are still
unable to determine the exact scenario for why it occurs and have been
unable to duplicate the issue. Any additional information you can
provide would be great. :-)
- What services were installed?
- Is there more than one Language installed?
- What version of Word and what patches have been installed?
- Any other details you think could be helpful.
