Yes I do, I am using AVG. It makes sense in a way because the problem happens not always on the same file it changes almost everytime.
I have put in the resident shield exclusion list the WINCE600 and temp folder in the list.
Will try later if it works better.
That brings me the following question is there a way to change the temporary folder used for compilation to another one?

I am just guessing here, but do you have some anti virus sofware running that could be causing this problem?.

Here is the log from the error:
EDITBIN : fatal error LNK1105: cannot close file 'D:\WINCE600\OSDesigns\test\test\Wince600\MAINSTONEIII_ARMV4I\cesysgen\oak\target\ARMV4I\retail\wavedev2_ensoniq.dll'
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'editbin' : return code '0x451'
Stop.
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'D:\WINCE600\sdk\bin\i386\nmake.exe' : return code '0x2'
Stop.
Don`t really understand why it is doing this I have no other application running at the same time.
Any idea?
Thank you

I am upgraded my PC to Windows 7 and install VS2005 with CE 6.0. I have followed the instructions regarding Windows 7 to install each update to VS2005 before installing CE 6.0 plug-in.
Then I have
- installed Windows Embedded CE 6.0
- installed Windows Embedded CE 6.0 SP1
- Did a sysgen of a test OS based on mainstone III (everything work correctly)
- installed Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2
- Did a clean sysgen got sysgen0000 error after dotnetV2 module
I tried to do a sysgen but same thing. So I close VS2005, delete the release directory of my OS Design, delete the build.err and .log in WinCE600 and my OSDesigns project's folders restart VS2005 and did a sysgen and it worked.
My question is which build command I should used after installing a major update like R2/R3 to get my image the first time? The possible command are a little bit different from what I am used to with PB 5.0 so that is why I am asking.
If you installed some QFEs (and R2 and R3 are not much different because they include all the previous QFEs) you need to do a clean build of your OSDesign. Choose "Rebuild <your OSDesign name>... from the build menu.
