Hi I am trying to run WinCE 6.0 on an x86 platform.
I am able to download the image, however, after the download is completed platform builder just endlessly waits for the target kernel debugger to start but this never happens.
Unfortunately, my serial port is not working either so I don't really know what is happening under the hood.
Could anybody please give me some pointers on what should I check that maybe causing the issues?
Check that:
- you built the OS image in debug leaving the KITL and kernel debugger options enabled.
- you don't have a personal firewall installed on your PC preventing incoming connections from your device
If you don't have a working serial port you may redirect serial output to the screen (provided that your device has a display or can be connected to an external monitor, of course) by reimplementing debug output functions inside your bootloader.
