Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Thanks, these when used with Remote Kernel Tracker are very powerful.

But let's assume that you do have the code and that you were just citing
GWES as an example, you could:

1. Set your threads to unique priorities (easy enough to do)
2. Output the thread ID when it is created
3. Output the thread ID and priority when the priority changes.

You can't, in any reasonable way. You might be able to come up with
some way based on the address that's executing, but for practical
purposes in code that you don't have the source code to, forget it.

What I am asking is how do I find out what code is associated with what
ThreadID ? I just see a ThreadID but I dont know what "Thread" that
ID is associated with... is there a MAP file ? or some table I'm
missing ? that connects the ID to the code ? It might be obvious but
I'm still missing it,,,

Thanks,

What do you mean by "what thread is associated"? Be more-specific
about what information you are seeking. It sounds like you're saying,
"I have a list of thread IDs and their corresponding thread
priorities. How do I tell what threads are running at what
priorities?", to which the answer would be "Look at the table".

Hi All,

using wince 5.0 I am trying to find out what threads are running at
what priorities. I bring up remote process viewer and I select a
process such as gwes, exe and in the Thread view it shows me the
Thread ID's and priorities of the threads. How do I figure out what
thread is associated with a specific thread ID? I've been searching
but I cant seem to find out how to look this up ?

thanks,

Joe Welfeld
