Re: GPRS internet Wince5.0

I am glad to hear you are making progress in the right direction.

Once the modem is connected, it starts a binary data transfer in
transparancy mode.
I doubt that it will disconnect when it finds an ATH in that stream.

The proper way to force a disconnect is pulsing the DTR line low for a
couple of seconds.
It would suprise me if the wince "rasdial" used another approach. Debug
messages might prove this theory.

If the rasdial says that the port is not available, I would assume that the
previous rasdial is still holding the port.
Maybe it is expecting a "NO CARRIER" message or a drop of the DCD line
before it closes and releases the com port. If the modem isn't in "command
mode" at that moment, another attempt to connect will fail as well, but I
would expect something like a modem timeout error since the modem doesn't
respond to the Hayes commands.

I assume you can see the status of the dialup connection. Simulate a drop of
the DCD line and see what response you get. If it shows disconnected, reset
the modem (like with a power flip) and see if you can establish a new
connection afterwards.

btw, I am doing fine.

regards.

Thank u Obcd:

How R u?

I had to tell you that i am now connected to the GPRS internet using my
modem
over USB port, using my own virtual com port application and upper most,
using windows ce dialupnetworking...

It works fine, connects me to the internet, and then browsing goes on
fine.
But when i disconnect it.. The dialer do not disconnect the modem [i
think,
here, ATH must be sent perfectly by dialer but something is not going
well.

When i disconnect my connection and then try again to connect. The error
arrives that port is not available. "Which according to my knowledge"
comes
when modem do not reply OK at initiation.

(First connection attempt works good but once i disconnect then ... Error
arrives)

Also., i have chosen MANUAL terminal to check modem status at second
attempt.
here, the modem do not reply on any command i issue. (sometimes, i
disconnect
first successful connection, Modem signals are totally dropped and
sometimes,
it do not end the DATA call)

Im sorry for pure English and bad writing style., please understand my
problem and give some suggestion if possible.
