how to modify explorer.exe?

hi all,
I want to modify explorer.exe, and I find the code in
"WINCE500\PUBLIC\SHELL\OAK\HPC\EXPLORER", I know it is not good to modify the
code directly, but I cann't not use "sysgen_capture explorer" to get the
source to generate explorer.exe, so anyone knows how to do it? thanks.
