It can used for Wince 5.1 but i was asking whether we can build
it for CE5.1 instead of using the backward compatibility for CE 5.0.
There is no "backward compatibility" layer between CE 5.0 and CE 5.1,
they are releases of the same OS, using the same kernel and (AFAIK)
there are no big differences at the kernel level. CE 5.1 provides more
services to the applications, that's all.
It's like asking to build a PC software for Windows XP Service Pack 3
instead of "plain" Windows XP. It could be a requirement if you use
some features that are available only on SP3, but I see no companies
providing a different version of their software for each
version/service pack of the OS.
