Re: MS-DOS commands in Win CE 5.0

Mr. Valter,

Thanks for your response.

This is more to do with running apps on MS-DOS platform rather than DOS
commands.
This is one customer request.

POCKETDOS does not offer any help because it wont work on MIPSII platform.
Besides,
it emulates x86 environment over MIPSII which makes it more of an
unrealistic choice for me.

The customer app runs a FTP server and does several other things over a
ethernet connection.
There is also some part of JAVA app running on DOS mode.. its kinda
complicated.

The device is going to be a black box and no display is required. The system
will need to just get up and
run AUTOEXEC which will kick-off several FTP related items over ethernet.

This is a industrial automation product - going to be a big deal for my
company if I can find a way to make it work.

Siddarth

Folks,
We are running CE 5.0 on MIPS-II platform.

If I need to support MS-DOS commands on Windows CE 5.0 - what do I
do ?

Obviously simple way is to buy from www. pocketdos.com but they
dont support MIPS II yet.

Any other ways ? Kindly advise.

In ce catalog you'll find a command prompt that handles most of the
dos built-in commands.
Which DOS commands do you need to support in CE?
