Changing default Icon size -- neverending topic

Hi
I know that this topic has been discussed many times in this
newsgroup.
I also read the answers, but they did not statisfy me (if there was
any answer at all).
So let me explain what i want to do:
I try to change the size of the "flying windows" icon which is located
at the left bottom in the task bar.
In the source file \PUBLIC\SHELL\OAK\HPC\EXPLORER\TASKBAR\taskbar.cpp
it is hard coded to the size of 16 pixels in the call LoadImage(). So
I can clone the shell and modify it.
But hey: I don't wanna do this for all the Icons.
I think there must be another way of doing this.
According to the posts, I'm not the only one who struggles with that
problem.
Does anybody else encountered this problem (and solved it ;-) ).
.
