RE: MemoryMapped file CE 6.0

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

My question is more basic, in CE 6 (or CE 5 for that matter) is there a big
performance advantage with using a memory mapped file vs just a file on, say
the root of the device (not on a storage card)?

Making I/O or any other data transfer with Windows CE API function is on CE6
approximately two times slowly than CE5, because of new memory model.

There is no clear answer on your question, because read/write file is always
so slowly so general performance depends on your implementation and what
exactly you are doing.
