Which emulator exactly? Running an image that was created by who? I've not
seen any emulator problems like this, so my guess is that the image it's
running has some problem.

I cannot believe that the CE 6 emulator should really be as slow as I am
seeing.

It takes many minutes to get to the user screen. Click on a folder and it
takes about 1 minute to draw the folder view.

Dual core Intel with 2G of RAM.

Any speed ups possible?
