I tried a Default Image build for CEPC in Windows CE 6.0 --
The USB floppy is getting listed as DSK2: in the
HKLM\DRIVERS\ACTIVE keys. When i insert a USB floppy drive and try
to open the Storage manager from control pane, the system gets
hanged and after a 2 or 3 minutes the Storage manager opens and
The floppy capacity is displayed as 0.00 B. I am not able to
format the drive also. I have added the default FATFS component.
I think that the exfat.dll (exFAT file system is not able to read
the FAT file system of theFloppy)
The floppy is formatted as FAT, I suppose, and it should be
recognized, if FAT file system is included in the OS image.
Try to enable debug zones for the USB mass storage driver, partition
manager and FAT file system to check what went wrong.
On some industrial PCs I found that the on-board USB ports did not
provide enough current to power an external USB 2.5 hard drive.
Connecting a self-powered USB hub in between solved that issue.
