Re: PB not communicating with CE device for image download

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I hope it isn't late - best and probably only way is get null modem cable and connect to serial port 0 on target machine to see what is going after eboot is loaded by cepc code. Serial communication is using 38400 Bd, 8 bit, no parity, no handshake. You can use terminal emulator shipped with Windows XP or any other.

I've got this Winsystems board that has an onboard PCI ethernet adapter that
isn't NE2000 compatible so they provide an NE2000 ISA adapter to use for
image download. The problem is, when I boot the CE device from the floppy I
created, it boots up and "jumping to 0xXXXXXXXX" appears on the display, but
PB doesn't see the "boot me" message from the Winsystems platform so it
doesn't show up when I have the "download" settings for Ethernet dialog up
waiting for the device to show up. The base address and IRQ are properly set
and were selected based on available addresses and IRQs suggested in the
motherboard documentation and are set properly (I have checked and verified
multiple times).

The development platform (WinXP Pro SP2) and the NE2000 ISA adapter on the
target are connected through an 8-port hub.

I am dropping way behind on this project while I try to work through this
problem.

I hope somebody that can help is checking this today! :-)

HELPPPPPP!!!
