Thanks for the reply. The hard disk is recognised by the BIOS. The
disk is attached to primary channel & it's jumpers are set
correctly.
Below is a part of debug messages.
It seems that the IDE driver is not loaded (or it was hidden inside
the mess that my newsreader generated by word-wrapping your log...).
Did you include the "ATAPI PCI/IDE storage block driver" in your OS
image?
Do you have PCI-to-PCI bridges or other "strange" PCI configurations
on your device?
Is the IDE controller PCI-based?
You may try to enable the debug zones of your PCI bus driver to
check if your ide controller is recognized and why no drivers are
loaded for it.
You may use PCISNIF or other DOS-based utilities to check if your
controller is recognized correctly.
