Hi Geoff,
CE will support HID
What's HID?
devices in general but I suspect by "mini" USB you in
fact mean the USB function connector on a windows mobile device. If that
I only need of a simple input (ON/OFF) so I can capture it from my
application running on my Windows CE device. My application has to manage
car race so people should be able to start/stop the time my application is
storing.. in other words I only need to connect something like e button you
can push to send an input (start/stop) to my application and I thought this
could done by USB connector (tipically I use to connect the device to my PC
via ActiveSync). Am I wrong? What about other ideas?
device does not support USB OTG
What's it? How can I know if my Windows CE device supports it or not?
then no you cannot do this.cause
In this case you will have to lean slightly further forward and use one of
the device buttons. Beware of doing this with a heavy object as it may
lower back pain.
You're suggesting to use one of my 4 hardware buttons I can see on the front
of my device: that's true, but this isn't comfortable for our the users can
start/stop the device when they are inside the car and maybe driving. The
best solution should be one external button you can keep in your hand and
push when you want without turn your head to see the Windows CE device and
try to push the right one of the 4 buttons.. am I wrong?
Could you explain more about your device, OS and miniUSB?
OS is Windows CE 5 and USB connector seems to be mini USB like in many other
mobile devices.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Mhaxx
