Re: PB Emulator ... 64MB limit & FSRAMPERCENT

No I've been a good citizen and removed that option from the menu pick.

After repairing my Platform Builder ... which I seem to need about every 6
months ... I've successfully built the emulator image with the FSRAMPERCENT
var to tweak my memory allocation.

Everything is fine at this time.

You didn't run Build and Sysgen did you? Don't do that.

Your change should only require a buildrel, and then makeimg.

Hey Bruce,

I set the FSRAMPERCENT in my config.bib using a sample from Sue Loh's
blog.

The result was the build failed ... one of the MS genCPU?? projects
failed to build.

I had to do a repair on platform builder to get *anything* to work at
that point.

I'm just now attempting to do it again.

What did you set FSRAMPERCENT to?

SetSystemMemoryDivision() might help.

Folks,

We're on CE5.0, x86, AMD Geodelx platform but use the emulator to run
our unit tests on the build machine each night.

We've exceeded the 64MB limit of the emulator. Apparently there is no
way to get more memory ... this was confirmed by MS.

Since the total memory is split between RAM and the filestore we were
hoping to reconfigure this "split".

The documented FSRAMPERCENT (shift to favor system RAM etc.) variable
has no affect on the emulator.

Any ideas?
