Re: Webcam :-(

Or you can look at the driver as a sample (which is what it is, not a
production grade driver with support for free), actually learn how it works
and then maybe make the necessary modifications for it to work with your
hardware. Just a suggestion.

New Logitech cams do not work with Webcam Driver and you should not add
anything to registry setting. Driver gets installed itself when you give
WebCam.dll in dialog box. I have tried working with new webcams but do not
work.

One solution is, either driver should be updated or else to find old
webams.
I tried searching a lot for old webcam but didn't find. If you have any
information, pls share.

Bye

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Another question since you seem to be familiar with this driver :

Do I need to add something to registry (loadclients?) to make CE
recognize
the cam ?.
When I plug in the logitech Quickcam pro, it prompts me for a driver.
When I manually enter "webcam.dll" it does load.
I would expect the driver to come with these settings....

Greetings,
Rob.

I used the driver there with a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 with no
issue.

You'll need to do a little investigation into your setup perhaps.
1) Do the cameras you want to use support the interfaces necessary for
the
driver ?
2) Does your host USB device support Isochronous transfers correctly
and
reliably ?
3) What error(s) do you get from the driver when you try to use your
camera(s) ?

I'm not aware of any other driver for Webcam and CE. When I went
looking,
this was all I saw (that was free).

Hi,
I tried :
http://www.gotdotnet.com/workspaces/messageboard/home.aspx?id=0eb87e35-13e4-4fa3-9fde-71e9136f47de

It does not work for the cams I have.
I cannot get the "old" quickcam 5000 pro, that does not seem to have
a
problem.

What is a working combination of Webcam + driver for CE ?

Greetings,
Rob.
