Thanks Travis for your help!
So you mean to say that i need to Build an OSDesign first with CE 6.0 BSP
(CEPC 6.0) and than add CEPC 5.0 BSP from catalog and do all the necessary
porting steps (separating Kernel, OAL and Kitl) than this will work fine...
If so than also i have one doubt how do i come to know that my OSDesign is
using CEPCport not the CEPC6.0?
Thanks once again! and i do agree with you my Basics are not that much
strong since i am still learning. Can you suggest me good book/link for
Windows CE (In general and specific to CE 6.0)

Orca - the CEPC 6.0 BSP should work. So as not to derail the topic, I'd.
suggest posting a separate newsgroup topic describing the hang you're seeing
along with the serial output.
Jadeja - we're working on, among other things, improving our documentation
for porting to CE 6.0. Unfortunately it's difficult to understand what it
means to port when you don't have much familiarity with the operating system
in general. I believe the ceconfig.h error you're seeing to likely be a
result of not running the "sysgen" process successfully before building your
BSP. Start out by answering Samuel's questions, then we can point you in
the right direction.

I don't think the CEPC BSP provided by CE6.0 works. I have a CEPC
Enterprise
Web Pad target that works fine under CE5.0 but not under 6.0. I have tried
both Enterprise Web Pad and a bare-bones application. Both hang at jumping
to
image after download.

Hi Samuel,
Thank you for your prompt reply!
I want to understand the process... for that matter let's take a
Icop_eboxii_50dvs. Can you please tell me how do i port or if possible
migrate this BSP to CE 6.0 (I know there are BSPs available for download
for
this Platform but as i mentioned i want to understand, what is happening
under the hood)

Since it's a CEPC BSP, why don't you just use the CEPC BSP provided by
CE
6.0 and modified this BSP to meet your need?
Which hardware platform are you using?

Hi friends,
I was just trying to port CEPC 5.0 BSP to CE 6.0 by keeping Travis's
Action
Porting demo as reference. But i am facing couple fo problems and
they
are:
1. I think my Build environment for the BSP port is not proper. (My
justification to this is when i try to run "Wince.bat X86 OSDesign1
CEPCPort"
in command-line it configures the environment but with very few
Environment
variables and most of the lines displays that "The System path did
not
found") I did set the _WINCEROOT before running this so there must
not be
any
issue and after this i also tried "reldir" but not much help from
this as
well. But it did configure the Build environment so i some how
managed to
create the rest of the directories and copy the required sources and
code
files.
2. Now when i try to build the OALLIB it gaves me an error saying
that
(And
it is from CE Filter) it cann't read from ceconfig.h. The only thing
i can
guess here is that due to improper configuration of my Build
environment i
am
facing this problem.
Now what i am looking here is for
1. Some sort of Guideline for the BSP porting (The one at MSDN is not
that
much helpful) and
2. Brief information on how to set up my Build environment for BSP
porting
both in Command-line and Platform Builder IDE.
3. If possible reference or link or book name where can i find the
Build
process step by step.
Thank you very much for the help!

Jadeja Dushyantsinh A.
