Hi Prabu,
I have added these 2 components as you sugest, but it does not help - here
is the debug output of what happens after inserting usr5421 into usb port of
the device.

Any ideas why your platform recognizes the same usr5421, but mine doesn't ?
Thanks a lot

Hi Sergei,
Try to add the following components in OSDesignView:
Device Drivers->USB Function->USB Function Bus Drivers->Netchip NET2280
USB
Functions
Device Drivers->USB Function->USB Function CLients->RNDIS Client
and check it out

Hi Prabu,
you went a lot further than my attempt with the USR5421. Some time ago I
have tried but failed to make this usr usb adapter to work with CE
Windows
CE 5 image. Careful looking did not reveal anything importatnt as a
clue.
Do you have any tricks to share for successfull operation of usr5421 with
Windows CE 5 ?
My image was built using Platform Builder IDE (no command line builds
used,
both cumulative annaul QFEs applied for 2005 and 2006) for VIA based
board
( Luke processor) based on VIA BSP for it, and the following components
were
present in OSDesignView for it (in addition to all the defaulf CEPC
platform
components, which are created in any platform based on CEPC) :
Device drivers->Networking->Local Area Networking->RealtekRTL8139
Communication Services and Networking->Networking-Local Area
Network->Wired
Local Area Network(802.3)
Device Drivers->USB host-> EHCI,OHCI,UHCI
Core OS Services->USB Host Support-> all the default components
EHCI,OHCI,
UHCI and USB driver
Core OS Services->USB Host Support->USB Remote NDIS Class Driver
Communication Services and Networking->Networking-Local Area
Network->Native
Wi-Fi STA
Communication Services and Networking->Networking-Local Area
Network->Wireless LAN(802.11) STA
Communication Services and Networking->Networking Features->EAP,NDIS u
I/O,NDIS,TCP/IP,Winsock
Shell and User Interface->User Interface->Network User Interface
Does the operation of USR5421 require anything else for Windows CE 5 ?
From
what I saw in debug messages in my case, when inserted into usb port,
usr5421 was recognized correctly, but never activated. Do I miss
something
in my platform in comparison with yours ? Platform builder 5 help seems
not
to tell much details about what exactly have to included in a platform to
support usb rndis device like usb5421.
Your advise is highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi
I am using USR5421 Wireless MAXg USB Adapter in CEPC. I can able to
detect
only 4 Access points at a time. But i have more than 10 Access points
in
my
area. My PC can detect all those access points. I am able to connect to
those
access points which are not listed in My Available WiressNetworks by
adding
those accesspoint details using Addnew prefered networks. After
connected
to
the non listed access points, i was able see my prefered Access point
,But
it replaces one of the previously listed Access points. Seems like i am
able
see only MAXIMUM 4 Access points at a time .
Whether this problem exist in WINCE 5.0 or am i missing any
settings????
Any
one gone through this problem????? Can anybody Help ????
Thanks
