Re: Aodio Volume copntrol in Control Panel

It has nothing to do with the CPL volume applet.
The upper layer s/w operates within the virtual
range of [0000h (silence) .. FFFFh (the highest)]
for each channel, it is up to the audio driver to
calculate and apply the absolute value.

You will need to tweak you audio driver to lower
the upper boundary. Do you have the driver sources?

Dear All,

I have WinCE 5.0 ported on x86 platform. Unfortunately the device does not have that powerful speakers.
When the volume is increased to maximum from the control panel and the volume is increased to maximum in the media player then the voice starts cracking and sounds as if it is playing from a speaker with torn cone.

Is there any way to bring down the level of Maximum volume in the Control Panel.

I believe right now it can be upto FFFFFFFF. How can I limit to lesser Value?

Thanks and Advance
